Botox®

Dermo Cosmetics London now offer Botox® which is one of the most popular non-surgical procedures carried out every day. Botox® can keep wrinkles at bay and can be used in conjunction with dermal fillers to further assist in rejuvenating the appearance. Botox® has been used for over 20 years and is FDA approved.

What is Botox®?
Botox® is a purified protein derived from the bacterium, Clostridium Botulinum. Botox® is produced in controlled laboratory conditions and given in extremely small therapeutic doses originally for the treatment of blepharospasm (eye spasm).

How does Botox® work?
Botox® works to block the release of acetylcholine and, as a result, the muscle does not receive the message to contract. This means that the muscle spasms or movements that cause wrinkling, stop or are greatly reduced after using Botox®.

Where can Botox® be applied?Botox® can be administered in most areas of the face where wrinkles are most prominent. The most requested areas being the forehead and around the eye area.

How long will each procedure take & last?
On average it will take one of our clinicians 30 minutes to apply the Botox® to each area of the face. The procedure may need to be repeated every 3-6 months.
